LENDAN’s 2011 “50 YEARS OF INNOVATION”
Colour Competition - Wrap-Up
Showcasing hidden talent from across Australia, Stacey Tapner from Nischler in Hobart (winning image as per above) has been awarded first place in LENDAN’s 2011 50 Years of Innovation Colour Competition.
With the aim of creating an unbiased competition that would appeal to all hairdressers, LENDAN’s 50 Years of Innovation Colour Competition was judged purely on the work entered and not based on the hairdresser or salon represented.
“We really wanted hairdressers to embrace our competition knowing that they have a real chance of winning,” explains LENDAN Marketing Manager, Nick Panagiotou. “We have heard too many stories from hairdressing saying that other competitions are not judged fairly and always award the better known hairdressers and salons”.
Judged by a panel that included INSTYLE Editor Cameron Pine, Daniel Tenaglia from LENDAN Australia and Oscar Gimenez from LENDAN International, hairdressers answer the brief “Express your vision of what ’50 Years of Innovation” epitomizes through LENDAN’s Colour Systems and Hair to Go Styling Range”.
The assortment of entries saw varying colour work, styles and technical backgrounds come together, with Stacey Tapner from Nischler in Hobart awarded first place for her transformation utilizing some of LENDAN’s most vibrant colours and popular styling products.
“I chose this style to channel a high-fashion editorial image that I thought would be magazine worthy, which I believe pushes the boundaries to create innovation within the hair, make-up and styling,” said Stacey.
“Explosive Fire (a combination of LENDAN’s Activia Plant 8/45 and 8/59) was applied to the root area only in the fringe then combed through to create the melting effect. Activia Plant 6/54 was applied to the remaining hair minus selected sections over ears and Explosive Fire was then applied free hand to these sections. Hair to Go Twister & Polish were both used to finish the look,” explained Stacey.
Stacey was awarded over $9,000 worth of prizes including a seven night trip to Barcelona Spain, $2,000 worth of LENDAN Products and her winning entry being the face of LENDAN’s 2012 Marketing Campaign.
